    Dear Broadband Stakeholder,

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for our team at the Arkansas State Broadband Office across multiple fronts. Specific to broadband access, the state’s mapping challenge process is well under way, and early participation has been incredible. Regarding broadband affordability, the federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) will be ending in May, and several Arkansas internet service providers are stepping up to the plate to offer in-house discounts to those households that may be affected. In the digital opportunity space, last Thursday, NTIA formally approved Arkansas’ Digital Skills and Opportunity Plan. This approval is the next step on the path to launching statewide digital skills training and device distribution programs. More news on that to come, soon.

I also wanted to let you know that should you have any questions, would like any additional information, or if there is any other way that I or our team can be helpful to you, please let us know. You can contact our team via email at [email protected].

We look forward to seeing you on the road, as we continue our local visits and outreach as a part of the Second Annual Broadband County Roadshow.

    Naturally Connected,

    Glen Howie
