The State of Arkansas is the first in the country to partner with national non-profit EducationSuperHighway to close the broadband affordability gap and encourage Arkansans to sign up for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The ACP provides up to $30 per month for broadband service for qualified households.
The Arkansas Rural Connect Grant Program funding round for October 2022 is officially complete. The program received almost 100 applications from service providers during this round. As of Thursday, February 9, 2023, the Arkansas General Assembly’s Joint Budget Committee approved the final eight projects, in addition to the 14 projects that were approved in December by the Arkansas Legislative Council.
